The Auxiliary to BC Children’s Hospital is a self-governing membership organization that is a provincially incorporated society and federally incorporated charity.

The Auxiliary’s board of directors has ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of the Auxiliary on behalf of the membership and in the interests of the Hospital. The Auxiliary board serves as the leadership body, formulating policy and plans for the Auxiliary. The primary responsibilities assumed by the Auxiliary are:

  • Involved in the provision of services and activities with and for patients and families of the hospital
  • Raising funds on behalf of the hospital
  • In collaboration with the Hospital’s Volunteer Resources Department, support and recognize the voluntary contributions to Hospital programs such as: Gift Shops, Child Life, School Room, Mental Health programs and assist with special service projects, such as Hallowe’en, Christmas Decorations and distribution of Christmas Trees to patient and clinic areas of the hospital.
